Jonas Alexander Arnby started in 1995 directing award-winning music-videos, commercials and short fiction. He is a graduate of the alternative Danish film school, Super16 in 2004 and attended the London School of Media, Department of Film & Television. Jonas  Alexander Arnby’s first feature film, “When Animals Dream” was selected for Cannes’ Critics Week in 2014 and attended 30+ festivals. “When Animals Dream” was nominated for 11 Danish “Academy Awards”, and Danish “Golden Globes Awards” including 3 wins. “When Animals Dream” was also awarded the Camera image Award for “Best Cinematography Debut” and winning for best director at Athens Int. FF.

The film opened to great national and international reviews, placing Jonas firmly on the map as a director to watch from websites such as Deadline.com.

in 2019 Jonas released his 2nd feature film, SUICIDE TOURIST, starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. A European Co-production, which opened at Sitges Int. FF 2019, Zurich Int. FF and opening film at CPH PIX. SUICIDE TOURIST was released in the US by Screen Media.

In 2020 Jonas was conceptual directing the reboot of "Those Who Kills" for Viaplay/BBC4. He also directed the grand finale of the show, "War Of The Worlds" starring Gabriel Burne and Lea Drucker. In 2022 he was the exec. producer/director on the psychological thriller, "Veronika" - which will be streaming on SkyShowtime.

Right now Jonas is wrapping up his episodes on the Netflix thriller "The Helicopter Heist" as well as shooting his upcoming new TV-Drama THE CRUISE for SVT/CBS.
